In the current COVID – 19 situation, we understand that your animals still require our help and assistance. We will therefore keep you informed of any changes to our opening hours and protocols within the surgery as an when they occur.
Our practice remains open; however, we have had to adapt our ways of working to reflect the current requirements for ‘social distancing’. The health and well being of you, your animals, our surgery staff and the wider community remains paramount.
Our opening hours are currently 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday and 9am – 12pm Saturdays
We ask that you phone the surgery with your requirements in the first instance, where we can advise you accordingly. The following protocols are in accordance with the current advice from the British Veterinary Association and the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
At present we are unable to offer any routine examinations or surgery e.g. health checks, microchipping*, routine nail clipping, neutering or non-urgent dental treatment.
If your dog or cat is due a routine booster vaccination, it is possible for this to be extended to 15 months from the previous vaccination. For vaccination of horses and rabbits please contact the surgery for further information.
*As it is a legal requirement for pups to be microchipped before they are 8 weeks old, breeders are advised to contact the local authority to seek a waiver and they are then to pass on paperwork to the new owner to help make sure that the pups are microchipped as soon as lockdown is over.
